Since these devices use a high electromagnetic field to overload the shark's
own electromagnetic senses (which they apparently use to hunt).... my
question is whether the strong fields these devices put out would attrack
sharks from miles away, get them all excited, and then maybe they don't hit
the guy with the anti-shark device, but they hit some other poor guy 50
yards away.

I'd like to hear if the device manufacturer has done any testing to disprove
my theory.... bet they haven't.

The question is, can a Great White abort a 30 m.p.h. attack run in the
instant after he encounters the electronic field at a range of 6 to 9 feet
from his desired lunch? This might work for sharks that come in to bump and
test the target, but I'll bet whitey ends taking a bite anyway. It might
stop
him from coming back for a second bite, but usually the fact that you don't
taste like a blubbery seal takes care of that.
