Brief report on last Thursday's meeting:

Noted that meeting was packed, as usual, but concentration seemed to have shifted away from dog-lovers and preservationists towards recreationalists. Many kids teams seeking playing fields packed the joint.

At least four of "us" spoke (before I left), primarily on value of an additional launch at SE corner of Albany Bulb, and need to have car access to make that practical. Also pointing out that more local launch sites, with better wind access (Olympic Circle, etc.), means less freeway traffic and is an environmental impact mitigation (NLWTFW)!

I was 4th windsurf speaker, so was left with mainly reinforcing previous messages. Points seemed reasonably well received, but the organizers have stated before that public comments/desires are only about 25% of what they consider.

So, on Saturday since I was all on my own at Isabel with sunny skies (mostly) and marginal (but OK) planing conditions (with my 8.7/144L setup), I sailed over there and indeed found better conditions between Bulb and C. Chavez (Berkeley landfill). The Bulb launch would have worked nicely, even with the low tide.
