The safety zone is 1,000 yards. I tried to get a map of the exact zone from
USCG for the upcoming SFBA newsletter, but won't have it before deadline. The
zone is marked by white bouys. Looking at a chart, I think it isn't a problem
at Coyote Point. At Embassy Suites you'll be okay as well if they measure the
1,000 yards from the end of the land fill and not the lights. The lights are
about 1,000 yards long, so staying out past the lighting structure will mean
you are 1,000 yards from the runway area. The impact is more of an issued at
Oyster Point where most sailors head over to the old Flying Tigers area.
