I have the answer for you, I think. I had a problem with bumps on the tops
of my feet and ooo pain. I realized that my footstraps were not really in
the right place and when I pulled up on them the angle was too sharp. This
was several years ago and if I recall correctly, I moved them toward the
center of the board. The problem (pain and bumps)went away during the
winter and never came back, because I changed the configuration of the
straps. If you don't have the most padded straps available, switch to
them. There's a number of brands that are good. In this case, light is
not your friend. Lots of padded neoprene is the way to go. (I went to the
doctor who sent me to a specialist who said he couldn't do anything for
me.) Kirk's answer is more the one I would give to someone for whom the
bottom of the foot was hurting. I could wax poetic on that, as well.
(This happens when you are powered on race gear because your foot has so
much heavy duty work to do. If you want to ride powered on race gear, work
up your foot muscles to deal with it.)
