Subject: Last Nights meeting @ CSM

Hey, where were all you guys?! I counted about 6 windsurfers last night
at the
meeting on S.F. runway expansion. Get your butts out there and be
counted or we will lose
one of our best sailing sites!

Just to report: The place was packed and overflow was seated in an
adjacent room . There was a good turn out of residences complaining
about noise and traffic, plus numerous T.V. news personalities doing
interviews, and a large sierra club contingent. . . All had valid and
informative arguments. And thanks to all the windsurfers who did get up
and speak. I think you represented us all very well.

One argument I didn't hear last night is how much the area means to
windsurfing tourists.
Someone needs to gather signatures from windsurfers and kiters worldwide
to present at the next meeting (if there is one). Tourism is important
to Burlingame, according to their mayor, and we need ot show them that
this area brings in tourists worldwide just for the purpose of using
this
pristine area of wind & water!
