I usually sail Davis Point several times a year. My best Bay sessions have
been there. Better than Third. My observations:

Never sail a flood.

Buoy has to be reading at least 22.

If Point Isabel and Rio are good check it out.

Rig the smallest sail that will get me into the channel without slogging. It
will be windier outside.

Watch out for the ferry--it moves fast and doesn't stay in the channel.

Its a long way out. Bring safety gear (flares, radio, strobe).

Try not to sail alone (but I violate this rule on good days if necessary).
