There was an article in the newspaper this weekend that said comfrey causes
liver damage.

Comfrey is Symphytum spp. My Pacific NW flora lists S. officinale (common
c.) and S. asperum (rough c.). I have no idea what medicinal properties
are ascribed to it, but I've heard it's nice in tea.

Here's a picture of the Comfrey we have in our yard, although I don't

That's a 12" ruler in there for scale. It likes the somewhat shady spot
it's in.
