If you really do have speed going in and enough power to plane through,
you're probably stalling at the beginning by pulling in with your front
hand. When you initiate the turn keep your front arm straight--push your
front hand down slightly and forward. If you touch your sail with your back
knee, you did a good job sheeting in and bending your knees into the turn.

If you don't really have enough power to carve through the turn, at the
point just before you're going to stall dead down wind, square the booms off
in front of you (perpendicular to the board) for a few seconds with the
triangle of the sail balanced over the center--the center of effort of the
sail will be to the outside of the turn and you'll complete the turn with
the sail pulling you around. You can maintain a "slush" plane this way
through the turn and you can use this if you've killed your speed with a
poor entry.

OK my .02 ----Go Fast, unhook,
let go of the sail(!), and carve hard.
