The 3rd ave cleanup went fine. We didn't have as many people as we hoped,
but the ones that did
come were VERY good workers! I mean Really Amazing!

2 new sandbag ramps. One is a 'down current' exit that has been getting a
lot of use in the flood.
Clean main ramp, the salad is gone.
Better upwind ramp. Barefooters can now land and lauch there.
Beach cleanup, at least as much as 5 people with 2 wheelbarrows could do.
Some carpets were discarded, the rest were cleaned, pressed, and color
coordinated.
Way upwind kite launch cleaned up a bit, needs more work.

The good news. There is a lot less glass and junk in the water. It took a
lot of looking to fill a
bucket. Also, there are a lot less tires and big junk. There are a couple
of tires buried off of the
beach, but we left those for Mud Man. We found 0 water heaters, 0 VW
parts, 0 motorcycle
frames, 1 tire.

Thanks to the SFBA for buying the supplies. Have you paid your 2001 SFBA
dues? Do it today.

Thanks to everyone that came!

To everyone that didn't come, you owe all of us a beer, payable any sailing
day. If you don't have
any beer, at least think kindly of us as you walk down the ramp.
