George, it sounds like you are new to the sport or to this area. Direction
has just about everything to do with sailing or kiting around here. Crissy
works on SW or WSW, Coyote and 3rd work on WNW or NW, Sherman Island works
on SW etc. etc. Even though the pager says it is windy you must always look
at the direction. At Crissy when the wind blows from the North, the pager
will pick up the wind, but the bridge and land mass will block the wind on
the water. Once you learn the directions that work at the various sites you
will stop wasting time getting skunked.
