I was in Cape Cod last summer, West Dennis has some good windsurfing that
time of year, The water was shallow to about 1/2 mile out. I actually Kited
but there was lots of windsurfers. Looked like a good place for beginners
and
advanced, although there are no big waves at West Dennis there. It's
expensive at the
Cape. Lots of info on the Web. There are also spots in NJ Sandy Hook, I
think.
The water is warm, I wore my shorty.. I have never been to Hatteras or outer
banks
It is probably about a 6 or 7 hour drive to the Cape from Rochester. I did
see surfers
so there must be waves somewhere out there. I was there 5 days, two were 4.5
ish and
two 8 meterish
