I weight 210 or so, and I used 4.0/4.2 quite often, especially in the
winter/spring timeframe.

It never blows there. I've heard there are some good ponds in Los Gatos ;)

Seriously though it sounds like you have the right range. You'll get a lot
of days on your 5.8 and 5.3

Hi

I recently moved to Santa Cruz and expect to spend a lot of time sailing
around Waddel Creek, Scott's Creek, and Davenport. I was also thinking
about buying a new set of wave sails. Does anyone know what the typical wind
speeds are in these locations? Given I weigh about 200 lbs., what sail sizes
I should probably buy? I was planning on getting a 4.7, 5.3, and 5.8
