I went direct to Tuba on Friday. Just me and my JP 250.
I could tell from the road it was 4.2.
Launched at 2:07, planed right off the beach and pointed it upwind,
making good time.
about half way up I encountered some tailwalking gusts. three/quarters
of the way up I came in for max downhaul.

Waves where happening, but the gale force winds where making for monster
chop even though the fetch was only 50 yards or so. so I went Further
in search of smoother water.
Going in and out of the estero, crosing the bar at different places I
found all manner of various wave, wind, chop, and current conditions.
Gotta watch out for shallow spots too!
Going out one time I faced a head high thickasss doubleup wall all set
to pound on my mastbase and knock me silly, so I kicked the board
through and tucked my body into a back roll - and when I came up: no
casualties! I was missing jibes and having a hard time waterstarting,
classic signs of OP syndrome. One time while trying to waterstart, the
board was upwind of my body, which was near the mast tip. The board
spontaneously launched and mast went vertical! It was pretty windy...
I came in early, satying near the beach on the downwind run, seeking
shelter from the storm... I found a couple long sweet waves too.

Saturday I went to Tomales to get a buddy wet again after two years not sailing.
We sailed the Techno/6.2 and Naish8'6/5.3. There was 'just enough'
between 2 and 3pm.
