Go get 'em Pierre! Here's my personal record.

I also saved all the golf-ball stories in a file (along with other
3rd-ave stuff). Want that too?

============ Sun 11 Aug 96 - 3rd - 6.2,5.2/9'1/257 (185#)

As I was derigging, a golf ball landed in the gravel and hit my foot.
No injury, but I was annoyed enough to go talk to the manager (Bill) at
the range. He said that lofting a ball over the nets is no big deal
for many golfers and they are getting approvals to raise the nets.
For now, they have signs up that say, approximately: "Stop. Do not use
a wood if you can hit the nets." I suggested that he change these to
make it clear that there are people down there.

=== Jul - Sep 96:

How about a count of errant golf balls? Here are the ones I know of:

~~4 Jul ball goes through a car rear window and breaks the windshield too
??? ball bounces on the bike path
??? ball lands by Pierre St Hilaire
~30 Jul ball found by Harry Walther
~31 Jul ball dents car hood in lot - Francois_Jouaux
4 Aug ball bounced off car in lot
9 Aug ball bounced on the bike path by Francois_Jouaux
11 Aug ball lands in rigging area by Ken Poulton
10 Sep ball hits car in lot by george@lsil.com-DeleteThis
                a second ball found in lot

These are only the ones reported on the wind_talk list. My impression
is that the balls fall around us just as often as then, we just no
longer track them.

Michael and I walked up to the driving range. The same sign was
in place, but there were people using woods right in front of the
sign. We asked and they said that the employees at the front desk
said that woods were okay!!
