i just replaced an aluminum chinook that broke on me with a new
fiberspar boom. given that this has been my most expensive year for
gear failures, yet, i want to make sure that my replacements last.

however, after taking it out for the first, i've already ripped some
of the foam grip material where the harness line attached to the
boom.

first, any one have success in gluing these foam things back to the
boom and having it stay?

is there any preventative measure i can take, such as wrapping the
boom with duck tape where the harness lines attach, maybe, to help
protect it better?

Thanks!

Jae
