My sentiments exactly. It's tough for us who grew up here to see paradise
turned into LA all to put money in the pockets of the 99ers (here for the
new gold rush).

This was an especially heartbreaking episode as it shows that big money has
bribed those in control (like the development council I mean city council)
to such a degree that they will not consider any amount of public opinion.

We did make a slight impact and sailing for those that can shlog is saved at
Coyote though. So now it's on to the next battle SFO. Thanks to everyone
who went above the call of duty (especially Peter and George).

How do we get the other 99% of windsurfers to become involved in saving
what's left?

Add my thanks to the list.

How DO we slow or stop the over development of the Bay Area?

We are out of power. Brownout warnings are a part of life.
I've lived here all my life just like my parents and we are told daily it
seems
of more things we can not do anymore because there are now too many people
(like
build a home with a fireplace).

I used to be able to drive from HWP/Agilent in San Jose (near the airport)
to
Coyote in 20 minutes in 1997 if I left before 4:30PM.
In 1998 I had to leave by 2:30 to do this.
In 2000, it often takes me over 30 minutes to get to Coyote via 101 FROM LOS
ALTOS not San Jose!
The road is FILLED with new buildings for workers but few new houses...
Traffic sucks....
I like it here because of the windsurfing and my family is here...
Are we just pissing in the wind? It sure feels like it after the Burlingame
scam.

thanks
Kirk out
