Since I had waves in my mind, just came back from Maui, I decided to drive
all the way from the east bay to Davenport: this was a bit tough as Berkely
was blowing really good and it's in my back yard. Given the choice, I'll
choose clean water and waves over muddy water and swells, and I did.

The wind was on the light side and the S. swell was fading. It was windy
enough for a 5.7/8'8" (206#). As a matter of face, the lighter wind made
for some nice glassy wave faces. The waves were knee to waist high with an
occasional logo size set coming through. Timing, like in rest of life, was
everything. I had a great time from 4-6:30. The wind backed off quite a
bit as the fog moved in (should have known better) and it became slogville
out there. I was working hard on making it back to the beach and
remembered as I was sloging that I am close to the luch counter (Ano
Nuevo). Don't really want to be futzing around out there w/the landlord
somwhere.

Washed up on one of the beaches and had to do the walk back to the car. I
was not the only one, the locals were also walking back from the same part
of the beach.

Great session. Cold water. Lots of kelp.

Hoping for a repeat today.
