Tom,

Just a quick comment on.... "you got to be nuts to slap down fifty dollars
to ski
hacked up corn snow at a resort, hit the back country and get some virgin
corn".............yummmm, virgin corn (insert homer simpson drooling sounds
here;-)

I could not agree more. However, not all resorts have shitty snow
management
like squaw. As a matter of fact, a little place next door - Alpine Meadows
- does an amazing job at cronology,
the art of growing corn. They are very careful about what terrain opens,
when it closes etc. to keep the corn
just perfect. The backcountry is the place to be, if you have the
knowledge, skills, tools, etc. For some folks,
lift served corn w/some hiking is a nice option. You ever bag Grouse Rock
at Alpine on a nice spring day?
How about a sween Munchkin Chute run to end an epic spring day? Come to
alpine sometime and I'll
treat you to some of the best, sweetest corn skiing to be had.........It
ain't now squaliwood.........

It's hard to ignore the iWindsurf bitch & moan bandwagon so here it goes.
Let me say I'm no computer wiz so I haven't the slightest clue why my
browser is crashing but when I bring up iWindsurf on my Mac my browser is
always freaking crashing!!!! I want the tides, it freaking crashes!!!! I
want the classifieds so I can find a new board, it shuts my whole freaking
computer down!!!!!
More wind sites? I don't need no wanking east coast wind readings, give me
california, the gorge, and maui and to hell with the rest of the sputtering
wind surf world. Unless of course you can get wind sensors up in
Morroco,Tarifa Spain, Australia and any other exotic windsurf locale.
Also the reason I have to look up the tides on my computer is because the
tides info on my pager is beening shut out for updates on the conditions at
Squaw, it's freaking April!!!! No offense to the guy who sends out those
lovely reports but you got to be nuts to slap down fifty dollars to ski
hacked up corn snow at a resort, hit the back country and get some virgin
corn and leave the tides info where it should be on the pager especially on
weekends!!!

nuff' said over and out, tom
