At the risk of sounding like a know-it-all-techno-guru, here's a suggestion:
have some kind of naming convention (e.g. a keyword) for your message
subject line, so that if people don't want to read your messages, they can
filter them out with their mail program, and still receive the messages they
want.
Just a thought.
