Dear SFBA,

We're currently looking into the numbers of whales using the San Francisco
Bay on an annual basis and are asking various boat operators to help us
keep an eye out for whales. A windsurfer called in a sighting of a whale
off Coyote Point last year which made me think that SFBA is in contact with
a large number of admittedly small boats out on the bay. It would be a
great help if you think you and your members might be able to help us in
this work by sending in whale sightings (date, time, location, activity).
If so, please let me know how to help make that as easy as possible for you
in terms of getting the information back to us.

Thanks very much in advance,

Jamie
