Subject: Third Ave Swell my be destroyed by SFO expansion

I was reading through the discussion about Hunters Point as a
mitigation sailing site and started thinking about the swell that makes
3rd Ave my favorite spot to sail. It is possible that the SFO expansion
could destroy this swell by reducing the fetch available for building
the swell up to adequate heights. This would be tragic. I think the
SFO expansionist should be required to accurately model when the swell
is good and then prove to us that the expansion would not damage the
swell. Can this swell protection item be added to the list of
windsurfing wants? It would also be very handy if we could get a hold
of their model so we would then be able to add a swell size prediction
to Ken Poulton's wind reports!
