I went to tigers (Genetech) today (didn't sail, sinker, 5.8, and 210
lbs, wouldn't cut it). But the little guys on 6 and 6.5 did some
rippin' and a bud with 7.2 and a floating sidewalk had fun too.

Anyway, I was talking to one of the guys who had sailed, he sails there
a lot, and he was surprised to find a new sandbar outside the tigers
cove (about as far out as the "magic" windline on those fall days where
nothing is blowing anywhere), it was on the north end of *this* tigers
"outside" reach. Granted, it was within an hour of a rather low (0.0)
tide, but given his surprise, and his knowledge of the spot ...

I am concerned about it.

When we were talking, he mentioned that he saw some "up creek" dredging
or some such work going on, and we wondered if it was causing extra silt
to wash out into the bay and cause this new sandbar.

I will leave it to the SFO activists on list to decide if there is any
pertinent info here, but let me know if any questions.

David
