the pager gave top billing to tomales bay on sunday and I was way overdue
for a beach day, been moving and settling in for the past 2 weeks. we
threw the gear into the empty van, added a tiny gas grill and a bean bag
chair, and headed out Lucas Valley rd.
what made this trip unique was my crew. my new partner mj and
housemate/diver/buddy jp came along. neither windsurfs, but they're both
all over it about helping with chores! so i only had to do some of the
loading, mj packed food, and when i came in for a break there was a hot
porkchop samich waiting for me. i was having a ball blasting
upwind/downwind at grassi point, but you know me, always looking for
adventure... so i told my people to meet me at tomasini point about 5
miles downwind and off i went, alone again, with backup. was wonderful...
