I have a compact, lightweight, open framework, windsurfing trailer that we use
infrequently (not for a couple of years now) but have no place to park it.
It's current parking spot is disappearing after this upcoming weekend (apres
31-Oct).

We've used the trailer for a gorge trip where it carried six or seven boards,
all sails/masts/booms/gear plus kids bikes and such. I estimated it all
weighed-in at about 600lb. Worked great.

If you have a smallish car and have wondered how you can carry a few boards
and some gear around more easily, this is one option. There was a guy who
sailed coyote a couple of years ago who towed a very nice small trailer behind
a Miata -- this is a similar setup for a lot less $.

It is a lightweight "kit" trailer -- just a tongue, frame, axle, wheels,
lights, with a wooden superstructure to carry stuff. I've added cross-bars to
the superstructure for board mounts -- foam-covered and rubber strap-downs. It
works well. It is pretty small overall-dimension-wise and is easily moved
around by hand. It probably doesn't weigh much more than 100lb itself.

So, there's a couple of potential options..

  1. I'll sell it as-is for $200 (is licensed & registration is up-to-date,
includes spare trailer wheel, racks, tie-downs -- essentially
ready-to-use). I have a very nice, pretty large sail bag (can put at
least
five sails in it), that makes carrying sails on the trailer easier that
I'll toss in for an extra $50.

  2. I'll "share" it in return for a parking spot (details TBD), or even
pay a small nominal fee to park it. We live in
Redwood City. A mid-peninsula location would be best.

thanks,

Jeff Hodges
