There is great surf and sailing there, but a notch lighter than Maui. The
reef is also much shallower and sharper. The surf sailing is real good but
more heads-up. In Hanalae (forgive the misspelling) on the North shore is
where you can probably rent some gear. Anini beach is the beginning
intermediate place with a reef about 1/2 mile out. Tunnels on the North
shore and Shipwrecks on the South are some great sailing breaks.
Its been a long time since I was there, but I had a great time with some
memorable sailing.
