I wanted to update everyone on tonight's EIR/EIS scoping meeting for the SFO
runway expansion proposal. Windsurfing was mentioned by several of the
15-20 speakers. I felt the environmental issues regarding bay fill were
well addressed and the noise issues were extensively discussed. It
surprised me that only 15-20 people would be interested in speaking about
such a massive and devestating proposal and encourage everyone to write
letters to the previously listed addresses. I think the community can and
will have an impact on this issue, but everyone needs to get involved.
