Berkely was pretty nice. I was ok on 4.8/8'5" (207#), at
times I was op'd. The swell was awesome: large, nicely
formed, plenty of space in between - almost like the coast.
Sailed from 12:30 until about 2. At 2 a massive thunder head
moved over the area and produced lightning, thuder, haild, gusty
wind, etc. After it passed, the wind filled back in at a more manageble
level.........I was too tired to go back out.
Yesterday looked windy on the coast but my body was too sore
to sail.
The season is off to an awesome start.
Oh yeah, my wife was in Tahoe and enjoyed a foot of new fluff
on Saturday. California is awesome.

Subject: RE: Reports from yesterday?
Went to 3rd about 1pm to see crazy 3.0ish conditions. Some of my buddies
who had 3.2's were out looking very op'd. Instead of going out and just
getting beat up, a few of us went down to Palo Alto. I had never sailed
there before, it was pretty fun!! Was still very overpowered on my 4.1,
8'3'' (my smallest gear, I weigh 175), but it was still manageable. Decent
swells outside (even by 3rd ave standards), and a fun "wave" that wrapped
around the mud-bar into the launch area that made for fun jumping, riding.
