The wave sailing is about 1 or 2 sail sizes larger than Maui typically, but
quality can be great. Tunnels is a spot just before the Napali trailhead and
Ahini beach (Ithink) is a good intermediate inside bay spot. The ponds near
Kapaa (S.E.) is a good intermediate wave spot.
There are a lot of great waves, but the coral is real sharp and real close,
not nearly as forgiving as Maui in that respect. Check with the locals, the
tides, and study the channels. I haven't sailed there in about 12 years, but
I have friends that live there and keep sailing.
