Expected a repeat of Mon, big wind/small gear, was
surprised to see light wind. All the weather indicators
seemed right - big fog in bay, thunder heads over
the mountains, warm weather in Sacramento - but the
wind was light. Powerlines and the Sign were dead,
I drove to the access and it had sailable wind.

Went with the big kit, 6.2/9'4"(207#), mostly powered
for first 2 hours, around 7pm, it got really light. I stayed
on the water using the swells to get up on a plane. Had
fun on the river with almost no other sailors around. Around
7:30 the wind cranked up to a solid 5.7, I just gave my
sail a bunch more downhaul and had a blast launching
some good air. Tried a few body drags, came really close.
I wind up going too far downwind during the 'drag part', which
overpowers the sail. It will just take a bit more practice
time.

While driving up on the levee road I saw a dog walking
a local girl. They were both surprised to see that I was
not wearing a shirt - they were disappointed that I do not
have a good tan (wear wetsuit too much) ;-)

Beautiful sunset on the drive home - big orange sun setting
into a see of fog over Mt. Tam.

"Sometimes you can get shown the light, in the strangest
of places if you look at it right"
