Greg,
How big is that resevoir and how long are the reaches there? I heard it is
only as big as about 1/3 or 1/4 of the Sherman Island reach. Is that true?

Last night was one of the few times a year I actually use my 4.0 sail
(200#). Bethany Reservoir was blowin hard and steady. Usually it is gusty
there when the wind is that strong. The wind was building right into
sunset.
On the way home, I saw cows leaning against a barn to keep from being blown
over, CalTrans stopped laying tar on I580 because it was being blown off
the road surface, and the Windpower windmills shut down so they wouldn't
fly apart.
To find Bethany, get a map, follow I580 east to Livermore, and look about
10 miles NE as a crow flies.
Gregg Holtmeier.
