Yes, it is frustrating to have to mentally correct the COTW readings for many of the
sites. I sent mail out to wind_talk about this last week, but don't hold your breath
waiting for these readings to become more accurate.

Based upon my experience Saturday at San Luis, you should add about 7 mph to the COTW
readings. The free on site wind talker at San Luis, 209-826-9019, is a more accurate
source of windspeed data.

Based on Ed Scott's sail size report from Rio this weekend, looks like adding 5 mph to
the COTW Sherman readings would be a good rule of thumb.
