>From soccer.yahoo.com : Le Mistral causes Marseille havoc

MARSEILLE, France, June 12 (AFP) - Violent winds, gusting at up to
120 kmh, were causing havoc here ahead of Friday night's Group C
match between France and South Africa.

The pre-match curtain-raiser between two junior teams was cancelled
and the Official Village was closed as the wind, known as Le Mistral,
threatened to spoil the spectacle of the host nation's opening
match.

Officials were hoping the wind would die down before the 1900GMT kick-off.
