So I had my first sailing experience of the bay last weekend.
Coyote Point, good 6.0 weather for me at #190.
I was rudely reminded of how much downhaul my sail needed. (luckily that
old downhaul broke on the rigging area.)

Anticipation building, gearing myself up for what a leopard shark fin
might look like, especially whilst I'm in the middle of "where has that
***'in footstrap gone".

Got 100 yards out, the pull in the sail felt like it would take my extra
winter weight, wot no hook. The harness was in the trunk of my car.
Got over that hurdle, got back out. Now I have sailed for quite a few
years in a variety of conditions, and you guys have the meanest chop.

A few questions?

- Is there any comprehensive list of bay area sites, and the wind
direction bands that those sites work in? I am now heavily reliant on
Ken's excellent wind mailings, it sure beats looking at the trees
outside the window and winging it, but without knowing what direction
works where I'm still a little lost.

- With all that chop at Coyote, where are the bump and jumpers?

Looking forward to exploring this diverse area

Cheers, Dave
