Carlos, Sorry to hear about your lost gear, glad you're O.K.

I lost a rig in the channel at Bodega two years ago due to my own
negligence. Went out with a friend later a tired to find it by dragging
the bottom with a big hook. I knew right where it sank and the channel is
very narrow with lots of channel markers for orientation. Anyway it was a
joke but we had high hopes, the water is 20-30' deep.

     Now I have boatowner's insurance to cover my gear in case it is lost
at sea.
