Coast Guard rescues windsurfers from Bay
San Francisco At least three windsurfers were plucked from
the chilly waters of the San Francisco Bay by Coast Guard
rescuers Saturday.
A Coast Guard spokesman said windsurfers off Coyote Point,
Foster City and Candlestick Point needed assistance after
getting in trouble in rough waters.
One sailboarder suffered hypothermia due to the unseasonably
cold weather, the Coast Guard said. Also, two people who
were overcome by rough waters while sailing in the Bay were
quite seasick, the spokesman said.
I couldn't sail Saturday due to a previous committment. It sounds
like all I missed was a thrashfest?
