I was awake most of the night listening to the
wonderful rain/wind combination and hoping
that it holds out until the morning.

Got up at about 6:15, checked the weather
forecast, and decided to go to Alameda.
Arrived just before sunset - cold, windy,
blustery ->perfect. Since I got there so early,
the state park section was not open yet.

Put on my thick - 4.3 - wetsuit in the
car - a lot of effort in an Acura - rigged 4.8
and went out on 8'8". Perfect combination.

>From 7 to 8 I was nicely powered and
was able to jump pretty good and sail the
breakers back to the shore. At about 8, the
wind cranked up a bunch and I started to get
my ass kicked. The wind started to majorly
back off around 9, I decided to stop and not
deal with the slog fest. I showed up at home with
a big shit eating grin on my face. I am still
smiling......

Two other guys showed up around 8:30 and sailed
from the state park.

It has been way too long since I had a session.
I hope the rest of the long weekend is nice and
windy.
