It's been a long time, but the last information I had was:
Big Bear Water Dept.
Route 18
Fawnskin, CA 92333
909-866-5796
John&Evelyn Beeman of Bear Boards at Big Bear Lake
West Ramp 909-866-2917 (??)
Gray's Landing 909-866-2443
You need to buy a season lake pass from Big Bear Water Dept., it was
something like $20(??). Sailing is from the east side of the lake. The
water temps are warm in the summer, but the elevation is 6000+ft, so
the air is very dry and causes a thermal wind chill factor (your hands
get very cold). Winds tend to be very gusty and mostly big sails
(6.5+). But you can get some sub-5.0 conditions, usually during the
Fall.
Be sure to open your vent plugs before driving up there! ;-)
