Sorry for some repeated info ... but I added some pertinant numbers
to our list of equipment stolen. Thanks..

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Our windsurfing club had all of its equipment stolen on Wed 8/21/97
from Palo Alto, CA. It has taken our club over 5 years to earn the
money and accumulate this gear. Thieves broke into our storage
container (cutting the 'hasp') and took 10 boards and 19 sails.
Police reports have been filed.

I'm not sure how the thieves plan to ditch the equipment, but I assume
they will sell it. I have included a partial equipment list below,
please keep any eye out for any of this equipment at your local
sailing site, shops, or end-of-season swaps. If you do see it, please
contact me ASAP (number at bottom). If anyone can forward this
message to their local email lists, post at your local
sites and shops (east coasters?) we'd REALLY appreciate it.

Several of the items are very distinguishable. For those of you who
don't have time to wade through the list, the obvious items are :

     - Windwing Convertible Sails (1992) with 10" high black sail numbers
            SU01, SU02, SU04, SU08, SU09, SU14, SU17.
They are the bright lime yellow/green with pink highlites.
     - CFX 8'4" board with very obvious grid pattern of holes (2"
spacing) on the bottom due to the traditional CFX
delamination repair. The board is white with blue letters.
     - Two BIC Rumbas with strange pink graphics and
obvious white marinetex repair on the nose due to boom strikes.

I'll have a full list with serial numbers in a day or two. The list
below is also posted on the Call of the Wind website :

Thanks,
