Boy - the reports from the coast yesterday sure were contradictory. I
was at Waddell around 1:45, and it didn't look too good - 5.3 and
holey, though powered outside. The waves were mostly chest high, but
really close together and not really rideable. That fits with Zeev's
report.
I can believe the wind picked up in the afternoon to 4.3 or so, but I
find it hard to believe there were any mast high or larger faces - the
largest wave I saw in about 20 minutes hanging around there was maybe
a foot overhead.
Anyway, I left for Natural Bridges, where I was very powered on my 4.5
from about 2:45 - 4:00, when I quit. It was still blowing pretty good
- I just got tired.
