Glad everyone made it in okay.
I'd like to suggest that the rescued sailors send a thank you letter
to the agencies involved: the coasties, san mateo sheriff, Foster City
PD, whoever else. It would go along way in continuing to build
goodwill with these folks who help us when we need it.
A few years ago I actually got letters back from these agencies in
reply to my letter, and they were genuinely appreciative to be
recognized. I know from experience that swimming for 4 hours against
an ebb in the channel on a sub 4.0 day is pretty miserable. Not the
best way to have had my tax dollars finally pay off.
As far as Tuesday, it wasn't all time but pretty damn fun.
