The strobe I have is the Firefly II, which is rectangular, smaller than the
size of a pack of cigarettes, and costs around $55 at West Marine. They had
them in stock at the Mountain View store when I bought mine about 2 years ago.
There's also a West Marine in South San Francisco (call for directions).

I carry mine all the time in a safety pack on my harness. I've haven't needed
to change the batteries yet (think I will today) and it works like a charm
everytime (I test it periodically).
