Jimmy Buffet wrote a song about a bank of bad habits. Recently, I've
been paying my dues chasing the wind and getting burned. After my
debacle at Tuba last Friday, on Sunday morning I decided to drive out
to Rio at about 10:00 and turned around after driving for 30 minutes
and seeing that the wind had dropped off. Several hours later, I
rushed over to Larkspur to find out that the wind had shut off only
minutes earlier. Then I got stuck in heinous Golden Gate bridge
traffic on the way home. My previous 3 sessions, I never got on
a plane.
Today I cashed in some of my burned windsurfing session chips at
Third. I was well powered on a 5.5 Bravo and my Saxo 265 (200#) from
5:00 to dark. There were some nice ramps on the inside. The channel
was pretty flat from the flood. Boy it feels good to finally get
powered up. :-)
