According to the Feb '97 issue of Smithsonian magazine (p. 33) the
National Marine Fisheries Service "once caught a windsurfer off Maui who
was using a whale's back as a launching ramp to do aerial tricks. "
Does anyone have any info on this? Sounds pretty hard to believe, and
little in the same vein as, " a mountain biker ran over and killed (fill in
the blank: hikers, horses, walkes, babies in strollers, etc) on a single
track trail..."
