The weather forecast looked promising, so I took a chance and
made the trek with the family. I was thoroughly rewarded.

Started out on 5.2/8'8" (205#) and got very slammed. Man it felt
great to be powered up after so many weeks of no sailing. I went
down to a 4.8, and was perfectly powered the entire time. I did not make
up all the way to the break, bob g. did, but I still had a ton on fun playing on
the knee/shoulder high waves. From about 1:30- 2:30 the sets were perfect
with about 4-5 large rollers per set. The wind direction was perfect, the air
was clean,
the water was green (not bay brown) and there were no people.

This was too good to be true as a first session of the year. At about 4:30 my
body
could no longer take it, I am not in that good a shape. I am sure that
tomorrow the
advil will be flowing freely.

So how was your day?!.......;-)

BTW - Bob's new van is sweet.
