I have had the same problem with my skinny mast. The best solution is to get a
thicker piece of vinyl tubing. The stuff at Home Depot was too thin. Try Tap
Plastics for thicker tubing.

BTW, did anyone try the mylar film cleaner for cleaning sails available at Tap
Plastics?

I have a windsurf hawaii boom and I have problems with the boom
slipping down on the mast. I have a skinny mast and have tried two
different kinds of mast shims. One was a metal shim but the boom slip
constantly on that one. The other is a clear pieces of Polyvinyl
tubing but I still get some slippage on that. Does anyone have a
suggestion?
