I've never struck nor heard of anyone striking anything at Tigers,
however, it does get pretty low there (knee to waist deep). I personally
have never hit anything but muddy bottom though. One of the marine
charts shows a sewer pipe behind the Coast Guard station. Maybe that
explains the green cast to the water and the foul smell at times over
there.

As for Oyster, and it should be quite obvious, the launch is very
treacherous. I got 6 stitches in my big toe two years ago when something
went clean through my bootie. If it's medium to high tide, don't go
screaming into the launch area, or you may be looking at a new finbox.
Lots of submerged rocks, concrete, re-bar, barnacles, and the occasional
fishhook.
