Sailed the Slab 10:45-3:00pm. Rigged my 3.4 RAF, it is so old that after
an hour decided my Windwing 3.9 MP41 would work better and it did. Used the
ASD 8'5" wave. A key to control in these high winds is stable draft in the
sail, even if you have to carry a little extra sail area. I put the camber
inducer in the 3.9 and it was just right.

It was the best northerly, I can remember in the past 10 years of sailing in
the delta. What was so good it that most northerlies die early in the day and
occur in December or Jan (cold). This one lasted all day. Most of the day there
were only 5-7 sailors out, Ken S. got some major air on his Zeta 3.2. The ramps
in the channel were great for shredding turns.

See you all out there on the next Northerly, Bring your warm suits.
