Received the first 50mph page around 6:0am. Too much work to leave and
my smallest sail is a 3.9, so I passed. I left the city around 3:00pm
with pages still consistant at 25-26 avg. 35 gusts. Got there around
4:15. Went straight to Windy Cove (thanks to the earlier e-mail about
northerly winds). Rigged 3.9/8.2 - first time since March or April.
Nicely powered to Oped. Nice portboard ramps which was convenient
since I can't jump starboard. A little gusty overall. Probably not as
consistent as in the morning. It started to drop around 6:15 when I
folded for the well-worth-it long drive back home.
Not a bad day for my second time at Rio-

It was so windy at Rio today.....

...that the NWS posted a wind advisory for the Central Valley and Delta

...that the outhouse blew over at Windy Cove (hope no one was inside)

...that the windtalker reported 21-60 with ave of 38 at 8 am

...most were sailing on 3.2 and 3.5s and wind was still howling at 1pm

A wild day!!
