Subject: Point Isabel $250 ticket dismissed
Date: Tue, 26 Sep 1995 09:27:53 -0700

To the Point Isabel sailing crowd:

My $250 ticket for parking at the bus stop has been dismissed.
I got a form letter (a bad xerox of a dot-matrix printout)
with two words scribbled in it: `confusing markings.'

My argument was that if parking in that spot deserved a $250 fine,
they should have given some indication of this, such as a `No Parking'
sign or a red curb. However someone else pointed out that without
markings it's difficult to tell where the bus stop begins and ends,
which is probably a better line of defense.

Please spread the word.

The funny thing is that had the ticket been around $20, I would have
just paid it.
