The infamous Slug Cam, formerly at Long Marine Lab, has moved to the
Dream Inn on the Santa Cruz wharf. It also has real-time sensor data
like it did at Long Marine Lab. The questions are: Are the sensors on
the old Slug Cam page still accurate and updated? Are the new ones?
Yesterday in my quest for wind, Slug Cam at Dream Inn was reporting wind
at 21, but the image of the water looked dead calm (no white caps at all!).

I find the real-time sensor data to be useful on those days when it's not
happening anywhere else. I got lucky when I looked at it a couple of
times this season and was able to sail Natural Bridges in the afternoon.
Maybe Ken can add the reports to his hourly e-mail. A link is available
through the Bay Area NWS site.
